Rapiscan HETD 1000

Rapiscan HETD 1000 is a hand-held metal detector which includes advanced technology detecting the molecules of explosives without physical contact, in real-time mode. If any explosive is detected, visual or audible alarm signal will be activated. A liquid-crystal display reflects type of detected explosive.

The technology used in the detector was developed by scientists of the US Military Department. This device is able to detect traces of most of commercial and military explosives, including hexaghen, PENT, HMX, gunpowder, and ammonium nitrate on the nanogram concentration level.
