PRESIDENT'S ADDRESS – 2018
Bolat YERZHANOV,
President of Almaty International Airport
The annual Address of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to the people of Kazakhstan has become a traditional event in the life of our independent Republic. And I try not to miss this important Address of the Head of State. If the working moments do not allow, be sure to study it on the official website. In his last Address, the President voiced an objective analysis of the results of national reforms, which felt an understanding of the existing problems and ways to solve them, taking into account the requirements of the time and today's challenges, both internal and external. The Address is logically completed with detailed goals and objectives.
I am sure that it is thanks to this objective view of reality, relevant initiatives of Yelbassy, as well as system planning that our Republic successfully fulfills most of the tasks, showing decent results in many respects.
The Address of the Head of the State is a strategic political document, which outlines the priorities of socio – economic development of Kazakhstan's society. And the theme of the recent Address is “The growth welfare of Kazakh citizens: Increase in income and quality of life” indicates the vectors relating to each citizen of the Republic, each of us. And, therefore, these are the vectors that require prioritized solutions. Affordable housing and decent wages, quality medicine and education, safety, highly professional judicial and law enforcement systems are all undoubtedly very important for everyone.
For me, along with this, the following accents in the President's Address are particularly important. The first is development and support the potential of young people. Nursultan Nazarbayev suggested declaring the next year the year of youth, which is very timely. Younger generation should keep and increase the rates of today's reforms aimed at the prosperity of Kazakhstan. The second is increase in competitiveness. This applies both to human capital, the quality requirements of which are growing rapidly, and to all spheres and sectors of our state. The main goal of Kazakhstan for the coming decades is to enter the top 30 developed countries in 2050. For what as the President noted, “Each citizen of Kazakhstan should clearly understand the essence of the reforms and their importance in the prosperity of our country. Consolidation of society around common goals is more important than ever for successful implementation of reforms”.
