Flydubai airline company starts operating flights to Almaty International Airport
On September 16, 2014 first flight of Flydubai was greeted in Almaty International Airport with the traditional salute of water cannons.
This event marked the launch of flights from UAE to Kazakhstan on the route Dubai – Almaty – Dubai.
The first flight to Almaty met by Akhmetzhan Yessimov – Akim of Almaty, Askar Mussinov – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan,
His Excellency Suheyl Matar Al-Ketbi – Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Askar Shokybaev – Consul General of the
Republic of Kazakhstan in Dubai and Northern Emirates, Bekmukhambetov Aibol – President of JSC "Almaty International Airport" and other officials.
Flight FZ701 departed from Terminal 2 of Dubai International Airport at 09:10 UAE time and arrived to Almaty International Airport at 15:20 Astana time.
Reverse flight FZ702 departure is 16:20 Astana time, arrival to Dubai Airport is 19:00 UAE time.
Flights from Almaty will be operated four times a week on comfortable Boeing – 737-800 aircraft. Now passengers from Kazakhstan will be able to trip on direct flights to Dubai and back, as well as further on other directions.
