The jet airliner of a dream in Almaty!
Today, on August 9th of the current year there has been performed the first international flight of Uzbekistan Airways air company’s the new jet airliner to the airport of Almaty.
At the end of August of the current year Uzbekistan Airways, the strategic partner of “Almaty International Airport” JSC has received the first wide body aircraft the Boeing 787-800, having become the 66th operator of aircraft of this type in the world.
The new aircraft equipped with engines GEnx-1B. There are 246 seats in the cabin of the Boeing 787-800. Its extended range allows to carry out the flights to the most remote parts of the world. The plane consists of about 50% composite materials and 20% aluminum. The aircraft ambient noise level in two times lower compared to other aircraft.
“Almaty International Airport” JSC is the major transport and logistics hub in Central Asia, offering a wide range of services of international level. The airport ranks first in amount of domestic and international passenger and air cargo air transportation in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2015, the total number of served passengers amounted to more than 5.0 million people, the number of processed cargo 52, 1 thousand tons. There are two runways in the airport and one of them is ICAO III B (05L/23R) category runway. The National air company of Uzbekistan “Uzbekistan Airways” (part of the NAC O‛zbekiston Havo Yo‛llari) was established on January 28, 1992. The fleet consists of modern and comfortable aircraft Boeing-757/767, Boeing-787-8 Dreamliner, А320, IL-114-100, as well as cargo aircraft Boeing-767-300BCF. The company’s route network includes more than 40 cities of Europe, Asia, America and Japan. Representative offices of the airline operate in 25 countries around the world.
