Kazakhstan without HIV infection

Diagnostics and treatment of HIV infection in Kazakhstan is free and available to every citizen.
HIV infection can be prevented by observing preventive measures.
HIV-positive people who receive antiretroviral therapy are full-fledged members of the collective and aren't dangerous to society.
In Kazakhstan the prevention of HIV transmission from mother to the child is ensured through the provision of antiretroviral therapy to the HIV infected woman during pregnancy, childbirth and during the postpartum period, and also to the new-born child.
In 2014, the rate of HIV transmission from mother to the child decreased to 0,8%.
In 2014, the treatment coverage was 74%. Positive dynamics of mortality rate reduction is reached from 17% in 2010 to 8% in 2014.
According to the World Health Organization the development of the epidemic process in the territory of Kazakhstan is in the concentrated stage (2% of the population when the world average is 1.1%).
In the ranking of the Global Competitiveness Index for 2014-2015 in terms of “HIV Prevalence among the population at the age of 15-49” Kazakhstan joined the group of countries holding the first place.
The tendency of the reducing of transmission of the infection by parenteral route is observed since 2009. In 2014 it amounted to 31%.

In Kazakhstan tuberculosis doesn’t pose a threat to business development.

Tuberculosis in Kazakhstan is curable: the innovative rapid methods of diagnostics and treatment of tuberculosis, based on international standards are available to every citizen free of charge.
From 2004 to 2014 the TB incidence rate has fallen by 55% and the mortality rate has fallen by 77%.
In 2014 in comparison with 2013,
• the TB incidence rate has fallen by 9%
• the mortality rate has fallen by 16%

All kinds of innovative methods of diagnostics and treatment of tuberculosis, based on international standards are introduced.
More than 70% of TB patients are identified at the early stage of the disease, i.e. before the stage of transmissibility.
All patients with bacterial excretion in the period of their transmissibility get treatment in the hospital environment until the termination of the bacterial excretion.
In Kazakhstan 99% of TB patients with multidrug-resistant are provided with treatment that exceeds the World Health Organization standard (hereinafter – WHO) of 85%.
In accordance with the annual report of the World Health Organization, the effectiveness of treatment for these patients in our country is the highest in the world and is 73%.
In 2013, the budget of antitubercular service amounted to 35,4 billion KZT, in 2014 amounted to 36.2 billion KZT.
For the last 3 years the growth of the budget of antitubercular service was 4.6%.
The last mission of WHO (May 2012) positively estimated the work of the National antitubercular program on all aspects.
The National antitubercular program of Kazakhstan rated as the most effective program among the post-Soviet countries.
